IE3D is a full-wave electromagnetic simulator by Zeland Software (now part of Mentor Graphics / Siemens). LinkCAD can read and write IE3D geometry files.

Technical Notes
- IE3D geometry files define polygon metallization on substrate layers
- The System Interface license bundle is required
- Layer mapping between GDSII layers and IE3D substrate layers is configurable
